The melon’s characteristics
The melon, from the Latin cucumis melodrama, is an annual herbaceous plant, native to Intertropical Africa and a member of the Cucurbitaceae family.
The cantaloupe and honeydew melon are refreshing fruits. They have a high vitamin A and C content and are rich in antioxidants.
There are several varieties of melon including: Charentais, Galia, Cantaloupe and even White.
